Masala Bhangra Performance Workshop is a workshop where adults get together once a week for 8 weeks to learn a 10-12 min dance choreography. Each rehearsal will be 1.5 hours. We then take our hard work and showcase it at various events that we’ve been invited to perform at. Your friends, family, and communities are invited to come out and watch you and the entire group. It’s a magical experience as we work together throughout these 8 weeks.
As in past workshops, I have created original choreography that is fun, energetic, and easy to learn. It will be taught to you by our esteemed Masala Bhangra instructor, Rizwan Dhanidina. Under his guidance, you will receive personalized attention during rehearsals and explore your creative potential. Choreography for each song will be video recorded and sent out after each rehearsal, along with the music, via a Google Drive link. By joining the workshop, you are making a commitment to practice and learn the entire routine. If you miss a rehearsal, it is your responsibility to learn the choreography. We will go over it as much as possible in the workshop.

Rehearsal Dates: Our rehearsals will be on Thursdays on the following dates:
Thursday: August 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
Thursday: September 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
Rehearsal Times: Rehearsals will be at 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Rehearsal Location: A dance studio in Midtown West. The location is super easy to get to.

Outfits: Each of you will receive an outfit for this year’s performance workshop. As soon as you sign up, I will need you to email your size to me. Our outfits are designed by Tina Tandon.
Communication: All communication will be through mbwithriz@gmail.com and masalabhangra@gmail.com. The music and video choreography will be shared via google drive. I encourage you all to have a gmail account to make it easy to access the google drive link.
